PaymentsKit makes it super simple to get paid for your work without having to deal with complicated stuff such as VAT, sales tax, currencies, and all the various legal requirements of different countries.
It is also very convenient for your users; we have streamlined the payments flow to be as low-friction and transparent as possible. We believe building user trust is crucial to Trail's long-term sustainability.
Since we are currently focusing on free-to-play games, the only type of product that, so far, we have added support for are in-game purchases.
We are, however, open to considering other monetization models, such as DLCs, paywalls, subscriptions, etc. So, let us know if you are interested in any particular one, or if you have any other questions.
The best way to explain how pricing works is to have a look at the price matrix. Here you have an example snippet to see how that looks like. However, do keep in mind that the data shown in this table is not the official one.
|US - USD||Europe - EUR||Sweden - SEK||Japan - JPY|
The first thing to notice is that we are using a tier system. Instead of directly setting the price directly for a product you choose a price tier (rows) which then has a price defined for each supported region (columns). There are close to 100 price tiers to give you flexibility in setting the right price for your product.
The prices you can see in the matrix include the VAT or sales tax if applicable. This is the price the users see and pay on checkout.
Where do I get the latest price matrix?
Reach out to us and we will send you over the latest price matrix. In the future, this will also be directly accessible in your Game Manager account.
